Dance in Culture
This course explored the power of movement and rhythm as tools of identity, resistance, and storytelling across cultures. We studied dance forms from around the world to understand how physical expression is tied to historical trauma, community celebration, and cultural survival.
Course Description
This course introduces students to dance as a cultural, historical, and artistic form of human expression. Through critical analysis of diverse dance forms, students examine how movement communicates meaning and reflects cultural identity, values, and traditions across the world.
